SSB Eligibility Criteria 2021

For Specialist Posts 

• A recognized medical qualification is included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule (other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Post-Graduate Degree/ Diploma in the concerned Specialty as mentioned in Section-A or Section-B of Schedule-VI or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 & 1/2 years experience for Post Graduate degree holder & 2 & 1/2 years for Diploma holder in the concerned specialty after obtaining the Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma or equivalent.

For GDMOs Posts

• A recognized medical qualification is included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule (other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Completion of compulsory rotating internship.

Age Limit

All General Duty Medical Officers/ Specialists so appointed will not continue on the post once he/ she reaches 70 years of age.

Sashastra Seema Bal GDMO, Specialist Salary

The following consolidated remuneration per month will be admissible:
a) Rs.85,000/- for Specialists
b) Rs.75,000/- for GDMOS
The contractual appointee will not be entitled to any other allowances, benefits, or concessions as admissible to Govt. employees.

SSB Walkin

Note: 

1. If, specialists/ GDMOs are not available at one place of recruitment; they will be recruited from other places, provided that they are ready to work at the designated places.
2. Candidate may appear in walk-in-interview at any locations for appointment in any states (location/ places) subject to the vacancy of the particular location.
3. If the vacancy is not available at a particular place, other options may also be given to the candidates where the vacancy exists.

Medical Examination

Immediately after the interview on the same day candidates will be medically examined by a Board of Medical Officers detailed by the concerned Composite Hospital. The appointment will be subject to Physical fitness.

How to Attend the SSB Walkin 2021?

• Open the official website @ www.ssbrectt.gov.in.
• In the Quick Links, section click on the Advertisements link.
• Then, click on the “Advertisement for the posts of Specialists and General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) on contractual basis in SSB”.
• And check the entire notification carefully.
• If eligible, attend the walk-in-interview on scheduled dates
• While attending the Interview carry along with original & photocopies of the relevant documents and application in plain paper superscribing the name of the post applied for in the State/ area/ region and five passport size recent photographs.
