IIAP Recruitment 2021-2022: Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIAP), Bangalore invites online applications from young, bright, and highly motivated individuals for recruitment of Junior Technical Assistant, Junior Research Assistant, Mechanic, Engineer Trainee, and Research Trainee.  Junior Technical Assistant (Electronics): 30 years
 Junior Research Assistant (Observations):
 Mechanic ‘A’: 30 years
 Engineer Trainee (IT Support): 26 years

Pay Scale:

 Junior Technical Assistant (Electronics): Pay Matrix Level-4 (Pay Range ₹ 25500-81100/-
 Junior Research Assistant (Observations): Pay Matrix Level-4 (Pay Range ₹ 25500-81100/-
 Mechanic ‘A’: Pay Matrix Level-2 (Pay Range ₹ 19900 - 63200/-
 Engineer Trainee (IT Support): ₹ 30,000/- per month
 Research Trainee (Optics): ₹ 30,000/- per month

Educational Qualification:

 Junior Technical Assistant (Electronics): Diploma in Electronics Engineering (OR) Electronics & Communication Engineering (3 Year Full time) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from Central/ State Government/ AICTE recognized institute.

 Junior Research Assistant (Observations): B.Sc in Physics / Maths / Chemistry or B.Sc. in Information Technology or Electronics or BCA or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized university/institute.

 Mechanic ‘A’: SSLC with two years NCTVT certificate course (ITI) in the trade of Carpenter with at least 60% marks from a Govt. recognized Industrial Training Institute. Minimum 02 years experience.

 Engineer Trainee (IT Support): B.E/ B.Tech/ M.Sc or equivalent in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ IT with a recommended minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University/ Institution (OR) BCA/ MCA with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University/ Institution.

 Research Trainee (Optics): M.Sc (Physics/ Applied Optics) with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institution

Selection Process:

 Written Test
 Interview.
